One technician, three reputations.

01

The Fixer

Sent in when a job has already tanked. He inherits failed work, finds the stacked failure others missed, and closes the call for good. His role literally includes remediating call-back issues — and demand for him has spiked.

02

The Specialist

VRF/VRV systems, factory-certified in 2026 by Daikin and Trane / Mitsubishi Electric CITY MULTI. Trusted on critical −40°F refrigeration where there is no margin for a second mistake.

03

The Educator

Founder & CEO of The HVAC Game — 50M+ views and a community of technicians in their first one-to-three years, learning to troubleshoot with confidence.

Able to diagnose and resolve complex issues efficiently.
Jonathan Todd — Lead Engineer, Interior Climate Solutions Worked alongside Sascha for three years

The fourth technician on a site no one could crack.

Three technicians had already been to the site. None of them closed it. Sascha was sent in fourth — and instead of chasing the same symptom, he read the whole system. What he found wasn't one fault. It was a stack of them, each one hiding the next.

He diagnosed and fixed them in sequence:

  • Miswired compressor start components — the wrong fix three techs had been treating as the whole problem.
  • A plugged evaporator coil starving the system of airflow.
  • A failed TXV blocking refrigerant flow downstream.

Demand for that kind of diagnostic discipline has climbed sharply over the last several months. When a call has already gone sideways, his name is the one that comes up.

Throughput at a healthy margin — and a clearance rate that keeps customers.

He carries real throughput at a healthy margin — roughly $300,000 a year in commercial service at about a 40% gross margin, with dispatch volume more than doubling from 2024 to 2025. Because so much of his work is inherited — call-backs other technicians couldn't clear — his value isn't only volume. It's clearance: jobs that close and stay closed, which is why a dozen accounts ask for him by name.

He started with one nervous phone video. Now 78,000 technicians follow along.

The HVAC Game began with a single clip — how to wire a capacitor, about fifty views. He took a course on viral hooks, hit a 150K reel, and nearly quit four or five times over the comments. He kept going.

Today it's air conditioning education through community, collaboration, and courses. He teaches his own 5-step troubleshooting method, hosts weekly live diagnostic calls, and runs an open Q&A forum for technicians in their first one to three years — the exact audience that needs a clear head under a hot rooftop.

The 5-step method

A repeatable diagnostic sequence taught live every week — so a first-year tech can troubleshoot with the confidence of a veteran.

−40°F, a seven-day window, and a clock that was costing $50,000 a month.

Multi-stage −40°F freezers with antechamber precoolers.

A broker scoped the job at seven days. Sascha re-sequenced hundreds of checklist steps to finish inside the window, fixed a failed time clock the same day, and returned three freezers to service — ending a roughly $50,000-a-month trailer rental that had been bleeding the site.

Branch and regional managers took note. Elsewhere: a solo cooling-tower replacement, annual boiler and chiller teardowns, and a 120-ton Trane rooftop running VAV and building automation.

ABBA HVAC — "Dad-level care. Professional-grade service."

Abba is the biblical word for father. Sascha founded ABBA HVAC in September 2025 as a fully licensed, family-owned Austin heating-and-cooling company — residential and commercial, 24/7 emergency — built on one rule: treat every customer like family. It's currently maintained rather than actively run while he focuses at ICS.
